Make the gencon "sealed play" event available to observer mode! ^^
As we all know, NCsoft will be holding a special "sealed play" tournament at gencon 2006 so, i dont know about u guys, but im a big fan of sealed deck (mtg), and i think its a great idea to implement this in the gencon 2006 show....of course, i wont not be able to make it to play in the event; while i was in my frustration of not being able to attend, the idea hit me, why not have the top 8 of the sealed play event at gencon available via observer mode? i mean it would be cool to see the tourney for those of us interested in the format, what u guys think?
p.s. - plz dont flame, let's try to have a serious discussion : )

i mean the GW "sealed play" top 8 matches that are gonna be played in gencon 2006, i dont mean the skill selection part (wich is done with physical gw cards) but the top 8 matches themselves

I actually like that idea, but it might tie up the observer mode for people who want to watch an actual match.

Exaaactly, the point is that we can actually see the actual match, i mean it would be interesting seein these groups using pretty much random builds, yet playing good, its the beauty of sealed play

I'd really rather not have observer mode tied up to watch my friends fight, but it sounds okay.

Its pretty late, and I need some sleep for the finals at gencon tomorrow so I'll sum it up. The GW there is a lot different because its on LAN. They have a special version just for tournaments like these that all of the accounts are fully unlocked (kinda expecited that). So each team was set up next to eachother kinda at their own side of a table (no vent or anything so it was mostly yelling), it was very easy to "by accident" hear what the team across from you was saying. Expecialy the first day when they were still figuring out how to work things, that didn't happen often Friday since you played people acrossed the room more often. They'd put your team all in the same guild and you'd all meet at the guild hall. The guild hall is "The Underworld" map from HA and PvE, so it was pretty different playing 4v4 on it. To start a game you'd challenge a team as long as the game was approved by izzy, and your off. Any how, about your question, no. They don't have anything set up that looks like they are recording any of the games, they would have to transfer the data from the LAN version to the online version. I will definently talk to Izyy about this tomorrow though to see if they have any plans about adding obs to things like gencon.
